Adhesive sticky tabs are perfect for temporary, damage-free wear (1–3 days) and are super easy to apply—no drying time needed. Follow these steps for a secure, snug fit:
Prep First (Critical!)
Before starting, make sure your natural nails are clean, dry, and oil-free (follow the prep steps we shared earlier: trim nails, buff to a matte finish, wipe with rubbing alcohol).
Step-by-Step Application:
1.Sort Tabs & Press-Ons
• Lay out your press-on nails and match them to each finger.
• Choose sticky tabs that fit the width of your press-on nails (most kits have small/medium/large tabs—pick the size that covers ~80% of the press-on’s surface, leaving a tiny gap at the edges to avoid tab overflow).
2.Peel & Stick the Tab to Press-On
• Peel one adhesive tab off its backing sheet.
• Press the tab firmly onto the center of the press-on nail’s inner surface (the side that touches your natural nail).
• Smooth the tab with your finger to remove any air bubbles—this ensures maximum adhesion.
Pro tip: For extra hold, use two small tabs (one near the cuticle, one near the tip) on larger press-ons (e.g., coffin or stiletto shapes).
3.Align & Press Onto Natural Nail
• Hold the press-on nail with your thumb and index finger.
• Align the press-on’s cuticle edge with your natural nail’s cuticle line (leave a 1mm gap—don’t press it directly against your skin, or it will lift easily).
• Press the nail firmly onto your natural nail, starting from the cuticle end and sliding toward the tip (this pushes out any remaining air).
4.Secure & Seal the Edges
• Use your thumb to apply even pressure across the entire press-on nail for 10–15 seconds—this activates the adhesive and ensures the tab sticks tightly.
• If any tab edges stick out beyond the press-on, trim them with a pair of small scissors (be careful not to cut your skin!).
5.Final Check
• Gently wiggle each press-on to confirm it’s secure (it shouldn’t move).
• Avoid washing hands, showering, or doing chores for 30 minutes after application—this gives the adhesive time to set fully.
